The project is about addressing the problem of food and nutrition security in high schools. After realizing that teenagers do not like eating in the morning, we went on a research to find out what the problem was and discovered that they do not like their breakfast meals. Our research also discovered that teenagers enjoy small portions of sweet food but these foods are no available in schools’ tuck shops and cafeterias. Where they are available, they are usually loaded with preservatives and other unhealthy elements. We then developed a healthy snack bar that addresses this nutritional security issue.
