How innovative solutions effectively mitigate and bridge the gap of digital divide in rural communities?
Project Description
Our project addresses the digital gap between rural and urban communities. My team and I established a working idea that provides computer training and technological skills for rural youth. In collaboration with Bramble Network, an organization that provides access to quality education to children and youth in rural and marginalized communities, we hosted a workshop on digital literacy. Through this program, participants were trained on basic computer operations, and creative skills like digital painting, graphics design and web design. This initiative bridges the digital gap, and opens new opportunities for education and economic growth in underserved communities.
