Our projects first started as an extension of our Mars Habitat. We researched methods to grow food on Mars. But we also discovered that we could use the same technologies to feed our and other communities as well. Using the funds from our Ciena Challenge Award we built an aquaponics system in our classroom, we also created a mobile system that could grow food anywhere in the world. The system would grow crops and well as fish farming using tilapia. We also introduce vertical farming so we can operate in confined spaces
