The school has a green roof. The students taking part in the project have decided to grow food which should be as healthy as possible, that is they will use organic fertilizer, no chemical pesticides, and also as energy and water efficient as possible. They will have a lower carbon footprint as the distance between the green roof and the consumers is walking distance and they will be using technology to achieve this, as well as experimenting with new approaches, new crops which should help to adapt to the new realities brought by global warming.
